Comments
"This is instructive, vivid history written in the style of Belloc or
Chesterton."
Frederick D. Wilhelmsen
"The scholarship is solid, the style zesty, and the insights judicious
and fascinating -- Bordelon captures the human drama of Venice."
Harold Raley
Jose Ortega y Gassett: Philosopher of European Unity
"A fresco whose colors reveal a passion for every facet of the history,
culture, and art of La Serenissima."
Nicolo Cavalcanti di Verbicaro
Presidente di Societa Italiana Accoglinza Turismo
"This American author vividly depicts the human drama behind the social,
political, and cultural events of the Venetian Republic when it was the
foremost Mediterranean power of its day. With a rare sensibility he has
produced what should become a precious reference for all who love Venice."
